Join us at MaMA this fall for a monthly Saturday series of this very special collaboration that blends ancient shamanic healing work with contemporary creative approaches.  Using sound and energy medicine, Eda and Ev will guide you on a healing journey that promises to stir your soul.

Eda Zavala Lopez is a Peruvian curandera from the Amazon Jungle who has worked with Plant Medicine for over 25 years. She is a direct descendant of Wari People, an ancient civilization, and has been working with Indigenous leaders to protect the sacred territories in the Amazon.  In December 2014, she received a National Award from the Peruvian Ministry of the Environment in recognition of her profound commitment to preserving pristine areas of this valuable planetary resource.

Eda has been leading workshops throughout the US on medicinal plants and energy healing for the last 10 years and participated in the United Nations Permanent Forum of Indigenous Issues.  She has also worked very closely with Native American Elders in the practice of their ancient ways of sacred medicine. More information see:

Evry Mann has studied with some of the major teachers in sound medicine including Michael Drake (author of The Shamanic Drum), Don Campbell, composer Pauline Oliveros, Charles Lawrence and many others.  He has studied shamanic music intensively in Africa, Cuba, Mexico and South America and has worked with Eda for over a decade.  Ev has been the percussionist for the Harmonic Choir since 1992 and currently plays with Levanta, POOK and Pulse Field.
